to clarify:
yes url rewrite is on
and
with sef on
and
with a leading slash
this is jQUery url:(domain is stripped) which obviously throws an error and no jQ / jQUI loaded.
However, its no problem if slash is off so thats OK and I can get local jQ / jQUI loaded without error.
But I now cant get get rid of "jQuery is not defined"
But everything works perfectly with SEF off ?
why ? arrghhh!

I have no idea why this is not working for you, maybe because you are actually working locally. Until we figure out what is wrong, why don't you use the online jQuery loading instead of the local one? It will work for sure and you will be able to upload your site with confidence tonight

Well I suppose you tried it locally also. Normal it does not work in this case
Once uploaded, you'll have a 'real' environment and hopefully this issue will be gone. If not, we will have to find out what is different from all other configurations.
