Hi there,

I have Jomsocial running on my website and now the Share button doesn´t work on the profile page. I asked Joomlart, the template provider, and they discovered an error in a Jomsocial plugin. Then I opened a forum topic on Jomsocial and they are saying I have too many jquery instances on my website www.gamecritics.eu. I am not sure if that is causing the problem on my website but I want to rule it out.

I have disabled jquery in as many components and modules as possible but I still have the problem.

So I came accross your plugin but I have no experience with javascript and how to disable jquery and strip it down to one. The default settings of your plugin didn´t solve it so I guess I have to use the advanced options but I hope you can help me with that.

Hello,
the default settings of the plugin should give you close to the solution. I don't see what could still be not working, but there is no way to tell with just script names. And you may have other script declarations on your page as well. Please provide the URL of the site for a better review of what is going on. Thank you!

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

The URL is www.gamecritics.eu. But you need to be logged in to experience the problem. I'm not sure if you have experience with Jomsocial, but when logged in you can enter a statusupdate and then click the share button to share what you typed. When clicking the share button, it keeps loading forever. As mentioned, Joomlart says it is an error of a Jomsocial plugin, Jomsocial says I have too many jquery instances.

I have added 3 images, the first two I got from Joomlart and the third one I created myself. Maybe this is helpful for you to see the problem.

I have tried to go to the site but it is down now. Let me know when it is up again. I really cannot diagnose anything without seeing it live.

Sorry about that. My hostingprovider is having server problems already all day. At this moment the website is working again but I am not sure for how long. Hopefully the server is stable again.
