If it is a jQuery-related issue, chances are the plugin may be able to fix it indeed.

I installed jQuery and when I go to the plugin there is nothing on the right hand side of the screen.

Hello,
I have tempted to reproduce your issue but without success.
Have you tried re-installing the plugin? Is this the only component that shows that behavior?
There are no visible errors so you may find errors if you set the system debug to 'yes' in the global configuration.
