Trombisnoscope is a module that shows a list of contacts in a one-column fashion. It is NOT a contact form replacement.

• select one or more categories, specific contact (Joomla! 2.5+) or logged user (Joomla! 2.5+),
• select sub-categories automatically (Joomla! 2.5+),
• set the maximum number of contacts to show (if nothing specified, it will show all contacts),
• show only the published contacts,
• set the alignment in which the picture is shown (possible to alternate left and right),
• the images do not 'bleed' out of the column (automatic size restriction),
• set the order of the contacts (ascending or descending order with names formatted as one or 2 words, which is great for contacts with firstname/lastname),
• set the category order,
• set the view format of the name,
• set a default picture if contact pictures are missing. If not set, will use the default fallback styling for contacts with no picture (default picture size is 100px X 120px),
• show up to 5 fields from the contacts,
• show extra fields (formatted address for instance),
• set the contact link label to access the contact page. If no label is specified, will use the name as the link,
• possibility to open the contact in a standard page or a popup (when no form is present),
• several options to format the information (empty fields, spaces when information is missing),
• fully css customizable,
• backend in English and French and Dutch (thanks to John Verheijen).

For the contacts to show properly, you need to have a menu item where your contacts would show. Create a menu item that will show the category (or all the categories if your contacts are from several categories). You probably don't want this menu item in your menu but it needs to exist in order for the contacts to load in a page fit for them. Add .item-xxx {display:none} to your template stylesheet. This way, the menu item won't show (xxx is the menu item ID for the menu item created).

Note: use the same resolution if you get a 500 error code. The contact links are not properly set in Joomla! when SEF is set to 'ON' and the menu item is missing.

Joomla! 1.5, 1.6 and 1.7

There will not be any new development for the module under Joomla! versions 1.5, 1.6 and 1.7 from now on. We will continue bringing bug fixes, however.
