Problem with CW Multicategories was created by SylogicSp
Hi,

I use module CW Multicategories.
My each article are assigned to a few categories.

I want display articles via Latest News Enhanced module, but module displays only base category article.

Example ARTICLE1 (CATEGORY1-base category i CATEGORY2-additional category)

When I display artciles from CATEGORY2 , ARTICLE1 does'nt display.

Any suggestions for resolve this problem?

Hello,

Latest News Enhanced does work with categories as they are defined in Joomla.

As far as I can tell, CW Multicategories uses the same variable than Joomla uses to store the categories for an article. Unfortunately, I cannot tell how articles are stored in the database to handle the multi-categories.

If you get the same problem with the core Joomla Latest News module, this is an incompatibility with CW Multicategories (at the database query level).

Let me know if you can make your article show with the Joomla module.

Olivier.

With Joomla module I can show article.
I think the problem lies on the module Latest News Enhanced side.

What can we do with this?

Then it is probably a mis-configuration of the module. Can you show me a screenshot of your 'selection' tab (just the category part)?

My category name is 'PORADY'

I've a few articles assigned to this category
Example:

'ARTICLE 1' have categories: PORADY, NEWS
'ARTICLE 2' have categories: NEWS, PORADY

When i display articles from category 'PORADY' via module 'Latest News Enhanced'
the module shows only ARTICLE 1 because category 'PORADY' is the first category for this article.

When articles have assigned to category 'PORADY' but is not a first category for those articles like ARTICLE 2 the module don't show articles.

Thanks for the explanations. I will double -check the database query of the module.

The scenario you stated makes sense, since the module considers that there should only be one category for one article.

I am actually surprised the Joomla core Latest News module finds your articles. Maybe my query is more 'strict' in the way categories are requested.

In any case, I will take a look.

Olivier.
