check articles open on same page

I use this module on the homepage to show the latest newsarticles.
When I click on a newsitem, the article is not shown as a seperate article.
Instead of that the homepage stays open and the article is shown under the module.
How to change this?

Hello,

this is a typical Joomla configuration issue.

According to what you are saying, the module seems placed above the content, in a module position of the template, on the homepage.

In Joomla, when clicking on an article link, the article opens under the menu item that has been created for the category(ies) in which the article falls into.

If the articles do not have a specific menu item to be shown into, they will open in the home page of your site, this is the default in Joomla.

Even if you do not want a specific menu item for those articles, create one anyway, but do not make it visible on the site.

But the result will be that the articles will not show on the home page anymore.
