Error! I can not find an XML configuration file was created by admin
If you have problems installing an extension, template or component, unzip the file, send the files to your /tmp directory and make a manual install by doing an 'install from directory' (in the extension manager).

I still get the error after trying this. Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package.

Have you double checked you are using the right version for the version of Joomla! you are using?
