file JQuery Easy Profiles Installation Fails w Joomla 3.x

While attempting to install the commercial version of the jQuery Easy plugin, I found the following errors occurred.
The free version of the plugin installs without any issue, only the commercial version does this.
I would appreciate any assistance resolving these errors.

Hello,
I have just sent you an email in reply to yours.
Have you tried a re-install? What is your Joomla version and what is the language used?
Thank you!

Olivier.

I am using the latest version of joomla, version 3.7 and English language.
I have tried reinstalling it. It says "update successful" for all three parts, but the problem still persists.

I have tested the extension on Joomla 3.7 while in beta and everything was working fine.
I have installed the extension on a fresh install of Joomla 3.7 and got the same issue as yours.
I am looking into why this is happening.
Thank you for your patience.

As far as I can tell, there have been changes in Joomla 3.7 for parsing language files.
There are no parsing errors in the .ini files of the extension, however the old code to replace quotes "_QQ_" no longer works.
This is what is happening here.
Once the "_QQ_" are replaced with a single quote or \", the problem goes away.

You can try and make the changes in the language files or wait for the update.

I apologize for any inconvenience.

Ok, update:

the "_QQ_" is not the issue, although it needs to disappear from language files :-)
This was hiding a parsing error in the file, which was ignored in versions of Joomla prior to Joomla 3.7.
Removing the "_QQ_" exposed the error, which was not reported previously by the language debugger.

Note: the line producing a parsing error is the line containing the regular expression for the tooltip removal.
