Pro Updated but not installed in Joomla 4
The plugin adds fields that are not available in Joomla for a contact.

The following fields are available:

• gender
• birth date
• company
• department
• map link
• Facebook
• Twitter
• LinkedIn
• Google+
• Skype
• YouTube
• Instagram
• Pinterest

Once the plugin has been enabled and the desired fields have been selected, a new tab will show for each contact in the administration console.

These fields are usable throughout the whole component. Most (when it makes sense) are searchable when using the Joomla Smart Search component (and enabling the included Smart Search plugin). However, they are not searchable in the standard search or the search field of the Trombinoscope view.

Custom fields unleash new possibilities in Trombinoscope Contacts Pro. Rather than using additional fields, it is possible to use custom fields instead. There are advantages in using custom fields over the additional fields of this plugin:

• searchable in the Trombinoscope view (when the search field is enabled),
• more flexible ordering and grouping (grouped fields are shown in separate tabs in the Contact component or in separate sections when editing the contact on the frontend),
• association to specific categories of contacts (some fields can be shown in some contacts, other fields can be used for other contacts).
