Hi I would like that the items appear sorted alphabetically by their title, the function Order by "Order desc" shows them in the order they were added to the database. Any help? thanks

Hello,
use the 'ordering' parameter. You will find 'Title desc' and 'Title asc' for that purpose.

Hi thanks for your quick answer, the truth is that I only have this options for "ordering"
Order desc
Order asc
Recently added (asc and desc)
Recently modified (asc and desc)
Recently published (asc and desc)
Recently touched (asc and desc)
Random

What version of Joomla are you using?
If using Joomla 2.5 or 3, you should update the module. New additions to the module are not available to versions prior to Joomla 2.5.

I´m using Joomla 2.5 an i have around 30 copys of latestnews, it works really well now just for that ordering problem, if i update could i have any problem with created modules??

Carefully read the release notes from the version you have to the latest you are about to download. All potential problems/changes you could have are listed there.
Note that the new version works on Joomla 2.5.5+ and you will need to download the following library
