Is there any easy way that I can set up a link from the individual's name on the card, to bring up a popup displaying their photo and the contents of "Other information" (which is a biography)? I don't want to display fields such as address/phone number etc as this will be public facing.

Hello,
you can do such a thing if the standard contact page is modified in such a way that you could only see the picture and the 'other information' field.
This needs to be done at the template's level, by adding the contact page that will 'override' the standard one (in html / com_contact / contact / default.php).
A simpler way would be to select the fields you want to show at the contact's component level.
